Our History:

Founded on March 13, 1966 by the Elder Benjamin Taylor Smith, Jr., CLMBC has long served the East Garfield Park/West Humboldt communities with the mission of glorifying God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
Pastor Marcus & Lady J
Pastor Marcus A. Treadwell III is the Founder and Former Senior Pastor of Ambassadors For Christ Outreach Ministries in Chicago, IL. Pastor Marcus and his wife Lady J (LADY LIFE), was recently appointed the New Spiritual Leaders of Christian Love M.B Church. Pastor Marcus has a heart for evangelizing the lost and caring for those who are in need. His ministry focuses not on the growth of membership but more-so the growth of the Kingdom. As the primary teaching pastor, Marcus has a passion for carefully unpacking the truths of Scripture. Delivering a message that is relevant and relatable. He previously served as Associate Minister, Director of Finance and Praise and Worship Leader at Performing Christ Ministries, under the leadership of his father, Apostle Timothy A. Treadwell, for over 14 years. He and his wife, Jomaira Treadwell (Lady LIFE) have been married for 13 years and have three beautiful daughters: Jomaiya, Aaliyah and Aria. Together they have been called to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to Every Color, Every Creed and Every Generation!
